How it works

From sign-in to settle-up in four steps

Budgzy keeps personal finance and shared bills in one workspace — without mixing your private data into public groups.

01

Sign in to your workspace

Create an account or sign in on the landing page — with email or Google. Your workspace stays private to you.

02

Track daily spending

Use Expense Entry for quick logs, browse the Expense Tracker with filters, or import debit alerts from Gmail and review them before adding.

03

Stay ahead of bills and budgets

Manage EMIs, rent, and subscriptions on Payments. Set category budgets under Planning, and review everything in Monthly Summary and Master Cashflow.

04

Split with the people you invite

Create a typed group (trip, home, dinner, and more), set an optional budget, plan upcoming costs, invite by email, then settle with proof — no public discovery.

Everything in Budgzy

Built for real day-to-day money management

Explore the core modules — each with a focused workflow, filters, and a workspace UI designed for clarity.

Overview

Monthly summary at a glance

Open Monthly Summary for the same spend KPIs as your dashboard — plus category breakdowns, payment-method splits, and a six-month spend trend.

  • Total spend, recurring payments, daily expenses, and recurring %
  • Expense by category with budget progress where limits are set
  • Six-month spend trend for quick month-over-month checks

Daily expenses

Expense Tracker built for filtering

Log spending from Expense Entry or the dashboard, then browse everything in the Expense Tracker with the same filters you use in production.

  • Filter by billing month, category, payment method, and search
  • Desktop table and mobile cards with page totals
  • Sensitive amounts encrypted at rest

Recurring payments

Payments with clear status

Manage recurring bills on the Payments page — pending, paid, and closed — then review paid history in Payment Tracker.

  • Filter by status, bank, and payment type
  • Mark paid with date and amount, or edit status inline
  • In-app and email reminders before due dates

Planning

Category budgets that stick

Set monthly limits per expense category under Planning → Budgeting, then track spent vs budget with over-limit badges and merchant highlights.

  • Monthly limits for Food, Travel, Shopping, and more
  • KPI strip for budgeted, spent, and over-budget categories
  • Top merchants and progress that also feeds Monthly Summary

Reports

Master Cashflow ledger

Master Cashflow combines daily expenses and recurring payment activity into one searchable timeline with export to Excel or PDF.

  • Filter by month, source, category, and payment method
  • Daily Expense and Recurring Payment rows in one view
  • Duplicate check and month-end export actions

FAQ

Common questions

Quick answers about privacy, Gmail import, insights, pricing during beta, and split groups.

Yes — Budgzy is free during beta. You can sign up, track expenses, manage recurring payments, set budgets, use insights, import Gmail alerts, and join split groups at no cost while we polish the experience ahead of launch.

Connect the Gmail inbox that receives debit alerts from your bank (this can differ from your Budgzy login). Sync the last 1, 7, 10, or 15 days, review pending imports, set categories, and add expenses in bulk.

Insights lets you ask Budgzy plain-language questions about your spending — for example, what to cut back on or how recurring bills compare to daily expenses. Pick a month, choose a preset question, or type your own.

Yes. Open Planning → Budgeting to set monthly limits per category. Budgzy shows spent vs budget, over-limit badges, and top merchants, and Monthly Summary also reflects budget progress.

Your workspace is private to your account. Expense amounts and sensitive fields are encrypted at rest. Split groups are invite-only — there is no public group discovery.

Yes. Create a split group, choose a type (trip, home sharing, dinner, and more), invite people by email, add shared expenses, simplify debts, attach receipts, and record settle-up payments with proof.

Planned expenses are estimates for upcoming group costs. They help you sketch a trip or event budget without counting toward spent until you convert them into a real shared bill.

Native Android and iOS apps are coming soon. The web workspace is fully responsive today — use it on your phone browser until the store apps launch.
